The Bills just kicked off to the Jets. That means it's time for the first-ever We Want Marangi Open Thread. Share your unedited, unmoderated (unless somebody says something really stupid) thoughts on the game, or anything else, in the comments below ...
UPDATE: Mark Sanchez drew the first boos from Jets fans just 3:14 into the new season, when his backhanded fling was deflected by the intended receiver, then intercepted by Bills safety Bryan Scott. Pro-Tebow chanting has yet to begin.
Two badly thrown interceptions on as many out patterns does not instill confidence in your arm, Ryan.
ReplyDeleteI've learned after years of disappointment NEVER to get too excited about the J-E-T-S...
ReplyDeleteWas the anxiety that had to come with Buffalo cutting it 13 enough to take some of the joy out of the blowout?
DeleteWhere are the new mechanics, Ryan?
ReplyDeleteNice coverage by Donald Jones to break up that interception.
ReplyDeleteSee? Lulling the Jets into a false sense of security was part of that crafty Chan Gailey game plan.
ReplyDeleteNote to scab refs: When the ball comes free, you might want to get somewhere near the resulting pile-up within 10 seconds.
ReplyDeleteFour minutes left in the first half and the Bills finally almost got to the quarterback with the new all-world pass rush package. On the other side of the ball, all-world is a lot to ask, but an NFL-caliber QB would be nice.
ReplyDeleteI'd settle for competent.
DeleteMy point exactly. He did execute that kneel-down flawlessly.
DeleteThat throw just set a new standard for awful.
DeleteNice spot by the scab official. Only off by a yard.
ReplyDeleteThis game needs more replay reviews.
ReplyDeleteHow about going over to Ralph's house with pitchforks and brickbats?
ReplyDeleteHalftime and we got 'em right where we want 'em.
ReplyDeleteEverybody say it now "We want Marangi." and a defense...and that chair...and the remote control...
Unfortunately, that's not all they need ...
DeleteI am at the office working away...much better use of my time. THANK YOU BILLS for NOT disappointing me...yet again...this year....Looks like it will be a Long....long...long...season...
ReplyDeleteEspecially if the hockey season is delayed...
Deletethe players must be starving for a new owner.
ReplyDeleteAt what point do you pull Fitzpatrick? And who comes in? I'm going with if the Jets score on their next drive to go up by 30 or more -- not because they have any shot to come back, but to keep Fitzpatrick from getting hurt in a game that's lost. And it's got to be Tarvaris Jackson. No point in playing Thigpen, who is only on the roster for the first few weeks, in case Fitz gets hurt in a competitive game.
ReplyDeleteTouchdown. I'm with you Staba. Let's get Jackson some reps.
ReplyDeleteThis is about the point in a blowout loss when my high-school coach would urge us to "establish the running game for next week." In other words, "Let's get this over with so I can go have a cocktail."
ReplyDeleteLooks like he may have been quietly added to the Buffalo coaching staff.
LETS GO SABRES . . . oh wait.
ReplyDeleteShoulda been pick No. 4. Trying to remember a worse game by a Bills starting QB.
ReplyDeleteHey, fitz finally got the deflection he's been looking for when he's been throwing straight to the defenders...
ReplyDeleteDoes that td put Fitz's QB rating above his uniform number? Either way, he has his td pass...bench him...
ReplyDeleteNo way! All he has to do is take them 95 yards, and it will be a three-possession game ...
DeleteThought right after posting that "the comeback has started..." at least the defense finally stopped them once....
DeleteThey should have gone for 2. With 2 more td's plus successful 2 pointers, we'd only need a field goal to go into overtime...guess Gailey's going for the win in regulation...
ReplyDeleteBack to the Steam Show for a couple hours for me. By all means, continue lambasting the Bills here while I'm gone.
